Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to familiarize students who intend to teach in K-12 settings with various technologies. The objectives of the course are to enable students to understand the various technologies associated with K-12 settings, be able to use the technologioes competently, and to be able to make decisions regarding the application of the technologies to solve a variety of K-12 setting-specific problems. The course is designed to be interactive and practical. Students will participate in discussions and the utilization of various technologies during periods of class instruction. Assignments or projects will also be assigned to be completed outside of the classroom to enable students to explore the concepts discussed in class and to expand their knowledge of educational technologies.
